It still feels surreal to say: I touched all seven continents in just 72 hours. Three days. Seven continents. One Nigerian passport. This wasn’t just a record-breaking attempt — it was a personal mission to prove that mobility should not be a privilege tied to where you’re born. And that African travelers — especially Black women — deserve to see the world at full speed.

The route

Here’s a glimpse of how it went down:

  • Africa → Europe
  • Europe → Asia
  • Asia → Australia
  • Australia → Antarctica
  • Antarctica → South America
  • South America → North America

Yes, it was exhausting. No, I didn’t sleep much. But every landing felt like a win — not just for me, but for every African traveler who’s ever been told “No.”

What surprised me most

  • Antarctica isn’t just cold — it’s breathtaking.
  • The emotional toll of constant border checks was heavier than I expected.
  • Food helped keep me grounded — from samosas in Asia to coffee in Chile.
  • People showed up — cheering me on in comments, sharing resources, sending encouragement.

What I ate

what i ate

I had 11 meals across 6 time zones — and I remember every bite. I made it a point to try local food at every stop, even if I only had 45 minutes. The spices in Doha, the fresh air in Santiago, the tea in Istanbul — those moments made the whole thing feel human.

What I carried

what i carried
  • One carry-on
  • My Nigerian passport
  • Visa printouts and documents for days
  • A lot of ginger shots
  • A stubborn sense of purpose

The bigger picture

This wasn’t just a travel challenge — it’s part of a bigger story. I want more Africans to move freely. I want more girls to believe they can. And I want better systems: easier visa access, better policies, and travel tools made with us in mind. That’s why I started Kaijego — to build those systems.

Final thoughts

I didn’t sleep for three days. I cried in more than one airport bathroom. But I did it.
7 continents.
72 hours.
1 African woman, moving on her own terms.
And this?
This is just the beginning.
